Artist's Description
This digital photograph was created while out shooting participants in a local run/bike/ski race that starts in International Falls, MN and ends 135 miles later in Tower, MN. The men and women that participate in this ultra event are true athletes! I believe this was one of the "mildest" races for weather, and it was truly enjoyable out photographing. While it was fun taking more close-ups of some of the riders, I really wanted more of a landscape photo with a racer in it. I had to do a little walking, but found the perfect location; now the only thing I had to do was wait for my subject. With 150+ people participating, I didn't have to wait very long.
